Farmers need many different pieces of large equipment on site and ready to go to operate properly. Each piece of equipment is awfully expensive and needs to be taken care of in the right way. It is necessary to have a good steel building in which to store farm equipment or farm vehicles to keep them in great condition. About 2 years ago we worked with a great client in Tennessee who needed just that – a considerably basic 40x60x14 steel building to cover his equipment and cars.
Building Size
Because of the amount of equipment and cars that were going to be stored in this client’s garage, we decided to go with a slightly larger building kit and chose the size 40x60x14. We chose a 14’ tall building to accommodate a 12’ wide by 12’ tall door opening so some of the taller equipment could easily get in and out. To help keep the price for this project as low as possible, we went with our patented steel truss frame rather than a more expensive rigid frame.
Insulation
Our client added a 3” insulation package to their metal building to help keep the building cool or warm throughout the year so they could work on any vehicles or equipment at any time. By adding four 3×4 sized window openings, they also provided themselves with plenty of extra natural light inside.
Custom Color Options
To match other existing buildings on the property, our client went with light stone colored walls and polar white colored roof and trim. This color scheme gives the steel building a nice, light and attractive look.
Our steel truss frame buildings are one of the easier building kits to erect. They are completely bolt together kits that take less time and cost much less to put together. This is essential in helping save time and money on a steel building project. It is also designed as a DIY type of building kit.
